Los Llanos is the largest and busiest town on the island with a population of just over 20,000. There are many modern buildings but the traffic-free centre and surrounding side streets still retain their old character. – www.islalapalma.com

Near Los Llanos there are is a town with a small harbor (right) and further up north from that point we watched the sun go down on a small town.

I’m not sure which side of the island these were taken on… I believe they might have been the eastern side.

Lots of cactus on this volcanic island, specially since as with many islands one side gets a lot more rain than the other.

One of the small resort areas on the island and one of the only places I saw an actual sandy beach. I wonder if they didn’t import the sand. Like they have done on parts of the other islands.
