OTHER SPOTS AROUND THE ISLAND

Near Los Llanos there are is a town with a small harbor (right) and further up north from that point we watched the sun go down on a small town.

I’m not sure which side of the island these were taken on… I believe they might have been the eastern side.

Lots of cactus on this volcanic island, specially since as with many islands one side gets a lot more rain than the other.

One of the small resort areas on the island and one of the only places I saw an actual sandy beach. I wonder if they didn’t import the sand. Like they have done on parts of the other islands.

This is the Plaza de Cervantes in Alcala de Hernares.

yes that’s the same Cervantes that wrote Don Quixote and yes people go to visit the house and yes there’s a statue of Don Quixote and Pancho Sanza

The plaza is a very nice place, beautiful gardens and planty of white storks on the towers in the area. (Above)

Well i suppose you can see it wasn’t busy time in these parts. Shops closed and chairs stacked. (Above)

We had some food at just one of the many restaurants. These were people sitting next to us. Thought it would be interesting to see how it’s done in spain. Not just the outside of buildings. (Above)

With all the old things around, it’s the new things that sometimes stand out the most.
